Benji

Bichon cross

Bichon cross Benji came into the care of wwp as an unclaimed stray.

Benji is approximately 1y.o and was quite feral when he arrived with 3 others. His confidence is growing but he now needs a home of his own so this can improve further.

Benji currently shares a kennel with Dillon, they came in together and can be rehomed as a pair or separately. But they MUST be rehomed with a confident resident dog.

Benji has started to walk on a lead, he does need a lot of encouragement as the big wide world can be scary for a frightened boy like Benji. Whoever rehomes him will need to be patient and prepared to allow him time to settle and be willing to help with his confidence building. This is where the resident dog will help show him the way.

Benji is super dog friendly, very confident with other dogs and playful. He is fine to live with cats. He will need to be rehomed with children no younger than 10 and a quieter home would suit him best. With a little encouragement he’ll soon come out of his shell.

Bichons do need regular grooming, this is one thing he isn’t overly keen on at present but he is getting better.

So Benji is looking for a patient owner who will give him time and space to come around to home life in his own time as it’s something he’s not been used to.
