Timmy
Yorkie x Westie
Timmy was born with us at the rescue, his mum was one of the 108 we rescues from an alleged illegal breeder. He has been raised in a foster home so has had the very best start.
There did seem to be an issue with his sight when he was very young but he has recently seen an eye specialist who was happy to give him a clean bill of health, saying his sight is perfect and he had no concerns moving forward.
Timmy is just under 6 months old and is a Yorkie x Westie, although he looks like a Cairn he most definitely isn't.
Here is what Timmy's foster mum Caz has to say about him.......
Every morning after he’s enthusiastically said hello he’s started doing Zoomies from kitchen to garden, garden to kitchen. He then gets really excited about his breakfast and will jump back into his play pen waiting to be fed.
He will need the company of another dog in his new home.
He’s always had the company of other dogs since he was born and this makes him happy!
He’s very playful with other dogs so would be best suited with a dog that likes to play. I can’t see him getting much bigger than 5.5kg but he’ll happily play with a bigger nice natured dog.
He likes a cuddle on his terms.
He has no sense of danger regarding heights so his humans will have to be aware that when he wants
down he must be allowed to get down or he’ll unexpectedly try to jump.
He’s a funny, playful, confident pup. He is definitely more Westie build than Yorkie.
He sleeps in a play pen at night rather than a cage and will use a puppy pad.
He goes out to the toilet but still needs reminders especially when it starts to go dark .
He’s quick to learn, isn’t aggressive but doesn’t like being groomed/washed etc!!
So all in all he’s a typical pup that is looking for a committed family to give him a home for life.
We do require pups to attend training classes and he will be rehomed on a neutering contract.
