Jax is sadly another dog being returned to us after being adopted 5 years ago. Here is what his family say about him in their own words...

My name is Jax, I am 6 years old. I am a bright and intelligent beagle who loves to sniff around.

I can be mischievous, but as long as I get a long walk, I am not so bothered about being mischievous as I’ll be too tired, but do not leave food out at any time as I can sniff it out and eat it before you can say my name!

I am very clever and I love to pinch items like a sock or shoe and take them out the garden  

You will need a lockable bin or I will knock it over and eat the contents of it.  

Unfortunately, I cannot be let off my lead as I do not have any recall due to my crazy sense of smell as I need to follow it and I won’t listen to anything else.

I love walks, and cuddles but only when I want them. I am better off as an only dog as I find other dogs annoying but sometimes I will tolerate and play with other dogs on play dates.

I love curling up and settling down on my bed every evening and snooze away. I would prefer to be with someone who has a lot of time to spend with me and not left for long period of time. I need my owners to be smart and be one step ahead of me at all time because when I see an opportunity I will take it!
