Please meet Rex, a one year old Border Collie who I must admit I absolutely adore.

Rex came into the care of wwp as a failed working collie, he had absolutely no interest in working the sheep at all. Thankfully we were asked to help as they felt he’d prefer a ‘pet’ home.

Rex has none of the usual Collie traits so hopefully it won’t be too difficult to find him a home. Rex has to be the most affectionate dog you’ll meet and we do joke he’s a bit like Velcro when you are with him! He is constantly by your side, he has now learnt to walk on a lead and walks beautifully beside you.

Rex was previously living with children but as he can be a little nervous when you initially meet him we’d prefer him to be rehomed with children over 8. He is excellent with all dogs on and off lead and has met cats on the farm.

Rex will need house training but he is quick to learn so that is something that I’m sure he’ll easily pick up.

Rex is looking for a quiet, understanding home, ideally one with previous Collie experience. A resident dog would be a bonus. Rex was very nervous coming in but his confidence has grown so much, he really is like a different dog.
