Introducing Solena, a stunning Welsh Foxhound x Collie (we think!) who is now 16 weeks old. She was born in a barn, where she spent the first five weeks of her life. Her mum, Athena, had been living rough in the same area for 4–5 years, managing to avoid capture all that time. Once we became aware of her situation, she was safely trapped along with her little ones and the rest, as they say, is history!

Solena has grown into a confident, cheeky, and affectionate young girl who truly embraces life. She’s full of curiosity, loves to explore, and is always eager to learn. She gets on well with other dogs, is respectful and quickly learns boundaries from the older dogs around her. Solena could happily be rehomed either as an only dog or with canine companions and she could also live with a confident cat.

Due to her boisterous nature, any children in the home would need to be aged 6 or over.

She is searching for an active home where she can really thrive. Once she’s old enough, she would make a great companion for running, mantrailing, canicross, or similar activities. Outdoors, her nose rarely leaves the ground as she explores her surroundings with enthusiasm! She loves a good run around our enclosed field with her friends, followed by collapsing at your feet for a well earned snooze.

Despite her energy, she also has a softer side and enjoys nothing more than curling up for a cuddle on the sofa.

Solena will need to attend puppy training classes and will be rehomed on a neutering contract. Her mum is a large dog, and Solena looks set to follow in her footsteps, those big paws are a giveaway! She is unlikely to stay small once fully grown. As with all youngsters you’ll need to make your home ‘puppy’ proof, as she has a talent for hoovering up anything she finds on the floor… whether she should have it or not!
